Zulfiqar Zainuddin, Managing Director
Zulfiqar Zainuddin leads i2M Ventures Sdn Bhd.Prior to his appointment, he was the Head of the Business Services Unit of Investments in Khazanah Nasional Berhad.
He has a vast experience in managing large multinational clients as the Head of Foreign Direct Investments during his time at the Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC). Zulfiqar has worked with companies that have successfully established operations in Malaysia including Dell, HP, AIG, Nokia and many others. This includes an annual investment value of USD 1.5 billion by the regional and global centres established in MSC Malaysia. He was also the Director of Business & Industry Development for Frost & Sullivan in Kuala Lumpur.
Zulfiqar earned a Bachelor of Economics (Hons.) from Wakayama University, Japan.
Suria Suppiah, Deputy Managing Director
A strong believer of Iskandar Malaysia vision, Suria Suppiah relocated to Johor in 2011 playing a significant role in the operationalisation of i2M since then.
Suria’s strategic focus over the years has been to engage in global businesses to implement strategies to derive effective synergies in business approaches and enhance profitability. His 19 years of experience in various facets of business operations and in various industries in Malaysia, Asia Pacific and Europe has also seen him holding a series of senior positions being Executive Director, Chief Operating Officer and Head of Renewable Energy while working in companies including Khazanah Nasional Berhad, Pantai Holdings Berhad, Parkway Group Healthcare Pte Ltd, Parkway Laboratory Services Ltd, Salcon Green Energy (UK) Ltd and KPMG.
Armed with a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from Monash University Australia, Suria holds a Master of Business Administration from Booth School of Business, University of Chicago. He is also a member of the Harvard Business School Alumni Club of Malaysia.
Suria also has the added rare distinction of being an Olympian at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics as a member of the Malaysian hockey team.
Azlan Ramli, Senior Vice President (Investor Solutions)
Azlan is focused on driving job creation and investment growth in Business Services in Nusajaya, Iskandar Malaysia, ensuring that i2M connects closely with clients, partners and the market. He employs a combination of thought leadership, strategic partner management, aggressive pipeline management, a consultative and solutions-oriented business development approach as well as passion and belief in what he and the organization stand for, thus positioning i2M as a trusted advisor and strategic partner.
Starting at KPMG, he has served in various strategic roles creating value for large organizations in outsourcing, telecommunications, finance, IT and government. This includes companies like EDS, Hewlett Packard and T-Systems, amongst others. He briefly served in MDEC to promote the country as a global offshoring hub, successfully reeling in significant foreign direct investment from large companies such as Dell, DHL, ACS, Amway, TRW and other multi-nationals in finance, IT, telecommunications, and energy. His thought-leadership-driven and consultative approach resulted in a high closure rate, successfully closing 19 projects and investments over a relatively short period.
Azlan holds a BSc Accountancy degree from the George Washington University, Washington DC, United States of America.
Salina Muhammad Zain, Senior Vice President (Client Support)
Salina leads the Client Support unit and is responsible to facilitate companies in setting up the business services operations in Nusajaya. Her roles include managing relationships and engagement with the Malaysian government, its agencies and partners to meet i2M company’s business needs.
She brings with her over 25 years of working experience in various IT roles, marketing, business development and stakeholders management from Multinational Corporations (MNCs), Government agency, and Large Local Companies (LLCs) such as Sony, Dell, Microsoft and MDeC. She spent her first 10 years of her career in IT roles before moving on to non-IT related roles. Salina is one of the pioneer team members in the setting up of Dell Computer in Asia Pacific.
Salina holds a Bachelor Degree of Science in Computer Science with Hon from ITM/UKM Malaysia.
